About UpGreen
UpGreen is a UK property technology company. We build portfolio-level EPC compliance and retrofit roadmapping software used by property owners, asset managers, TPIs, energy consultancies, retrofit consultancies and surveyors across the country.
What we do
UpGreen takes a list of UK property addresses and returns, within 48 hours, a portfolio-level EPC compliance snapshot, a costed retrofit roadmap, an exemption analysis and a live virtual estate that stays current as the portfolio changes. We work with property owners directly and with intermediaries — TPIs, energy consultancies, retrofit consultancies, sustainability advisors, surveyors, QS firms and retrofit contractors — who use UpGreen as the standard Phase 0 step in their client engagements and as the system of record afterwards.
We sit upstream of EPC assessors, surveyors and PAS 2035 retrofit coordinators. Our job is to make sure those specialist services get pointed at the right buildings, and to hold the resulting picture once they have done their work.
Why we built UpGreen
The founding observation was that the UK property industry is awash in retrofit data and starved of retrofit decisions. CFOs of large property funds were turning down energy efficiency projects because the Capex was too high and the ROI unclear. Surveyors were producing detailed reports for buildings that should never have been surveyed. Generic compliance checklists were driving capital towards interventions that didn't move asset value. And one-off certifications were leaving consultants and surveyors disconnected from their clients between engagements.
We built UpGreen to compress that gap. To give asset owners and their advisers a fast, accurate, portfolio-wide view of where retrofit spend actually generates returns. And to give the intermediaries who serve them a way to convert one-off engagements into ongoing client relationships.
How we work
48 hours from address list to first analysis. No site visits. No data requests beyond the address list. No black-box modelling — every figure on the platform traces back to a source.
Continuously current. Once the virtual estate is populated, it stays current. Public EPC lodgements refresh automatically. Surveys, retrofits and portfolio changes are integrated as they happen.
Calibrated against reality. Where users upload their own survey data and QS quotes, the platform recalibrates against actuals. The more data flows into the system, the sharper the picture for everyone.
Upstream, not in competition. We don't issue EPCs. We don't deliver SAP, SBEM or PAS 2035 work. We don't replace surveyors. We tell you which buildings to point that work at and we hold the output afterwards.
